We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to lead safety operations across this division and uphold our mission of excellence, safety, and innovation.
Position Summary
The Senior Safety Manager will serve as a key leader within LEMOINE's Infrastructure Division, overseeing safety strategy, field execution, and compliance across multiple Civil, Municipal, and Concrete projects. This individual will mentor Safety Managers and field teams, drive continuous improvement in safety culture, and partner closely with project leadership to proactively identify risks and implement solutions.
This role is ideal for a seasoned safety professional with strong infrastructure experience, the ability to influence at all levels, and a passion for elevating safety performance across large, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead the Infrastructure Safety Program and ensure alignment with LEMOINE's company-wide safety standards, Brand Promise, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary safety advisor to Division leadership, Superintendents, and Project Management teams.
Mentor, coach, and support Safety Managers and field personnel across all infrastructure projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, trends analysis, and long-term safety planning.
Field Operations & Risk Mitigation
Conduct high-level site safety inspections across all Infrastructure projects, identifying hazards and guiding corrective actions.
Oversee complex field challenges by designing project-specific safety plans for Civil, Municipal, and Concrete operations.
Lead advanced Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), high-risk task reviews, and project startup safety planning.
Incident Response & Compliance
Lead major incident and accident investigations, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Prepare division-level safety reports, trend analysis, and executive-level summaries.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations and uphold internal standards.
Training & Development
Oversee safety training programs, including onboarding, refresher courses, specialty task training, emergency response, and regulatory training.
Facilitate high-engagement field training and toolbox topics tailored to Infrastructure work scopes.
Support competency development and career progression for safety staff.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with Project Executives, Project Managers, and Superintendents to develop proactive safety strategies and Engineering Controls.
Promote a strong safety culture that engages craft workers, foremen, and subcontractors.
Represent the Infrastructure Division in company-wide safety meetings, audits, and initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
CHST, CSP, BSCP, or STSC certification required (CSP highly preferred for Senior-level role).
7–10 years of safety leadership experience within heavy civil, municipal, or concrete infrastructure projects.
Proven success overseeing multiple projects or supporting division-level safety programs.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, heavy civil construction methods, concrete operations, and industry best practices.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe) and safety management systems/software.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong technical writing skills for preparing division safety reports, policies, and corrective action documents.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to conduct field inspections and carry safety equipment.
Prolonged periods of walking project sites, standing, computer work, and field exposure.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Must be able to travel frequently between Infrastructure Division projects across the region.
