LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work®-Certified company, is currently seeking an experienced Recovery Superintendent. The Recovery Superintendent will manage, and control assigned project(s), including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work closely with all members of the project team, all in an effort to minimize risk and to keep the focus on LEMOINE's Foundations for Successful Execution
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction activities with subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with subcontractors to set expectations, resolve issues promptly, and align schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Leads weekly on-site, job-wide safety meetings by aligning team members to ensure areas of high risk are continuously monitored.
- Knows the contract documents and acts as a resource to Subcontractors to answer questions or clarify contract documents.
- Ensures completion of the full scope of work on time and under budget.
- Conducts inspections, as required by Project QA/QC plan, of work put in place using predetermined checklists and documents with photographs.
- Knows and understands LEMOINE's LIFE Safe Work Practices.
- Plan, direct, manage, oversee, and document all daily activities on the project site.
- Travel Required to residential homes in various areas within the region.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required, bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- 5 years of professional experience in field supervisory role for residential and/or disaster recovery.
- Experience in CDBG-DR programs is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades (all disciplines).
- Proven customer service, field supervision, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong written & oral communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office skills.
Physical Demands:
- The physical and mental demands of this position must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
