Job Description

The Global Job Trainer plays a key role in developing, delivering, and standardizing training for LEGO® Manufacturing Virginia's Manuel Warehouse Maintenance team. This position combines technical maintenance expertise with training and coaching responsibilities to ensure employees are equipped to work safely, consistently, and efficiently.

This is a standard shift role (8 00 AM – 4 00 PM) with flexibility to support non-standard shifts as needed.

Approximately 60% of the role focuses on training development, instruction, coaching, and documentation, while 40% is spent performing hands-on maintenance and providing floor-based coaching to maintain technical expertise.

As a member of the Global Trainer Network, you will help implement global training standards, collaborate with trainers across LEGO sites, and support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Training & Development



  • Create and maintain training materials, job aids, and standardized work documentation.
  • Deliver TWI Job Instruction (JI) training and support onboarding, cross-training, and employee development.
  • Coach and mentor job coaches to strengthen training capability across all shifts.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and ensure consistent application of global standards and best practices.



Maintenance & Technical Support



  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on High-bay Warehouse automated systems, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, and elevators.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
  • Support equipment installation, modifications, and maintenance planning to minimize operational downtime.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using Maintenance Management (MMS) and Warehouse Management (WMS) systems.



Quality, Safety & Collaboration



  • Ensure training supports safety, quality, and operational performance.
  • Participate in daily meetings and shift handovers to align training priorities.
  • Identify and escalate quality or process deviations.
  • Partner with Global Job Trainers across LEGO sites to implement and maintain standardized training practices.



Qualifications

Required



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience with automated warehouse equipment such as conveyors, cranes, shuttles, or elevators.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment with strong knowledge of safety and quality practices.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using digital systems and production software.
  • English proficiency (minimum CEFR B2–C1 or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for training.
  • Starting Hourly Rate $35.65



Preferred



  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance, manufacturing, or mechatronics.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding employees.
  • Knowledge of LEAN, Standard Work, or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with MES, SAP, CHAMP, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with TWI Job Instruction or other structured training methodologies.



Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $35.65 - $35.65 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
