Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established rescue techniques.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning pool decks, skimming debris, and checking water clarity and chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality.
- Assist members & guests with inquiries, provide directions, and deliver friendly guest services to enhance their overall experience.
- Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, including rescue tubes, first aid kits, and pool safety signage, ensuring everything is in proper working order.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
Experience
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred; certification in lifeguarding is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is essential for emergency response readiness.
- Knowledge of basic pool maintenance and cleaning procedures is a plus.
- Ability to swim confidently and perform water rescues effectively under pressure.
- Experience in guest services or customer-facing roles that demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to pool equipment or supplies as needed.
