Type: Full-time
Team: Investment Team

The Opportunity
The LegalTech Fund (TLTF) is the category-defining venture platform for legal innovation, convening founders, law-firm leaders, general counsels, investors, and strategic acquirers to move the legal industry forward. We invest in early-stage companies transforming the business of law, and we're looking for a driven professional to join our core investment team.
This is a role for someone who brings relationship and investing experience and a genuine desire to meet founders and develop differentiated deal flow. You'll serve as a central relationship driver across the TLTF ecosystem and the next generation of breakout legaltech companies, sourcing, evaluating, and championing investments while stewarding relationships with founders, co-investors, and strategic partners across the industry. This role carries meaningful ownership across sourcing, diligence, and ecosystem development from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Dealflow
- Proactively build and maintain a robust, high quality pipeline of early-stage legaltech investment opportunities through the TLTF network, ecosystem relationships, and targeted outreach.
- Represent TLTF at industry events and conferences to surface compelling founders and emerging trends.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with co-investors, accelerators, law firm innovation teams, and legal-ops communities to stay ahead of the market.
Evaluation & Due Diligence
- Meet a high volume of companies and quickly assess fit, market opportunity, team quality, and competitive positioning.
- Lead comprehensive due diligence: financial modeling, market analysis, customer and expert reference calls, and competitive landscaping.
- Develop clear, well-reasoned investment memos and presentations for the partnership.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
- Build trusted relationships across the TLTF ecosystem: founders, law-firm leaders, GCs, legal-ops leaders, co-investors, and strategic partners.
- Serve as a thought partner and connector, helping portfolio companies access the right introductions, pilots, and follow-on capital pathways through the TLTF platform.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date deal tracking and portfolio reporting for the team.
- Contribute to TLTF's thought leadership and category-building work in legaltech, and support fund-level strategic initiatives as the platform continues to grow.
Who You Are
- 3-4 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, investment banking, financial due diligence, research, or a senior operating/BD role within a legaltech or legal-services company.
- A demonstrated track record of sourcing, evaluating, and/or executing investments or high-stakes transactions.
- A natural relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys meeting founders and can build trust quickly across seniority levels and personality types.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to go deep on numbers and surface the insight that matters.
- Exceptional communicator who listens well, writes clearly, and can translate complex findings into sharp recommendations.
- Self-directed and comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving team environment.
- Experience with CRM tools, deal-tracking platforms, and collaboration tools (previous experience with HubSpot is a plus).
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with the legal services ecosystem, including how law firms, in-house teams, ALSPs, and legaltech vendors evaluate and purchase technology, is a strong plus.
Why Join TLTF
At TLTF, you're joining the team charting the future of an entire industry. You'll have front-row exposure to the best founders in legaltech, deep relationships with the law firms and legal teams buying and shaping the market, and a platform built to help your investments succeed.
