Duties
- Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests’ tables swiftly and accurately, maintaining presentation standards.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables to ensure a clean and welcoming dining area.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays, supplies, and equipment following safe lifting practices.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling, preparation assistance, and maintaining cleanliness in food prep areas.
- Ensure all food running and serving duties comply with food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Maintain excellent communication with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness by performing regular cleaning duties including wiping down surfaces and sanitizing work areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with banquet or hotel service is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely during busy service hours.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
