The Learning Zoo is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Childcare Teacher/Assistant to join our team. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow.
Job Duties:
- Supervise children and ensure their safety at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and learning experiences.
- Assist with meals, snacks, and clean-up.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth.
- Use positive guidance and behavior management techniques.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines as needed.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Communicate professionally with parents and coworkers.
- Follow all daycare policies and Montana childcare licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Must enjoy working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in daily activities.
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be willing to complete all required childcare training within 90 days of hire.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous childcare experience is helpful but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule:
- Daycare hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:30pm
- Full-time or Part-time positions available
