We currently are licensed for children 2-5 years old and are a play-based program with academic emphasis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate academic, independence and kindergarten ready skills to foster comprehensive development.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavior management and social-emotional growth.
- Engage with children through interactive activities, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to their individual needs and developmental stages.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, strong communication with parents and co-teachers while the team also learns from your skill set.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure smooth transitions and optimal learning environments for children.
- Promote child welfare by ensuring safety protocols are followed and fostering an inclusive environment that respects cultural diversity.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within preschool school settings.
- Proficiency in working with children across various age groups.
- Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and external specialists.
- Ability to manage the school communication app (we do not participate in DRDP's and have light observation assessments for child portfolios).
- Demonstrated experience in childcare environments confidently, while adding value to the team that is already present. We are not looking for someone to know everything we are looking to add a valuable team player who is strong in communication, is dependable and someone children, families and our team will truly connect with.
- We are open to hiring an aid with units (or enrolling with an agreement) or a fully qualified teacher. We are most certainly looking for someone with classroom experience and understands the needs of each child is unique and requires an individual approach.
- One of the most important skills is a true team player, with children we can't ask for less and your co-teachers and admin will be available to support you along the way!
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
