Early Childhood Educator
Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
Position Summary
At The Learning Tree for Children, LLC, we believe early childhood educators lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. We are seeking caring and dependable professionals who are passionate about helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Positions are available in classrooms serving children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Applicants who have earned the Kentucky Commonwealth Child Care Credential, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or a degree in Early Childhood Education are strongly preferred.
Applicants who do not currently hold a Kentucky Commonwealth Child Care Credential or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential are encouraged to apply. The Learning Tree for Children, LLC is committed to investing in the professional growth of its educators by providing mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities to support employees in earning these credentials.
Employees are encouraged to complete the Kentucky Commonwealth Child Care Credential or CDA within the timeline established at the time of hire. As employees achieve these professional milestones, they become eligible for increases in hourly compensation in accordance with the Center's wage scale and compensation policy.
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· Meet all Kentucky licensing requirements for child care personnel.
· Successfully complete required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
· Demonstrate a genuine desire to work with young children.
· Be dependable, professional, and committed to continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
· Kentucky Commonwealth Child Care Credential.
· Child Development Associate (CDA).
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
· Experience working in a licensed early childhood education program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of children at all times.
· Foster a warm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
· Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
· Support children’s cognitive, language, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development through intentional teaching and positive interactions.
· Guide children’s behavior using positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management strategies.
· Build respectful, professional relationships with families and communicate regularly regarding children’s progress and daily experiences.
· Maintain accurate attendance records, observations, assessments, incident reports, and other required documentation.
· Maintain clean, organized, and engaging classrooms that meet Kentucky licensing standards.
· Follow all Center policies, Kentucky Child Care Regulations, health and safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
· Participate in staff meetings, professional development, coaching, and required annual training.
· Work collaboratively with administrators and fellow educators to provide a consistent, high-quality early learning program.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
· Lift and carry children weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Bend, kneel, squat, sit on the floor, and move quickly throughout the classroom.
· Participate in active indoor and outdoor play.
· Perform routine classroom cleaning, sanitizing, and setup duties.
· Work outdoors during varying weather conditions.
