What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Center Director position at The Learning Tree Day Schools, Inc?
A well-established and growing commercial daycare center chain, The Learning Tree Day School, is seeking to fill a position at one of its locations: Center Director. We are seeking to fill the position for our Riverdale location. Although the center sits in Riverdale, it is located only 3 miles from the Fayette County line and 4 miles from the Fulton County line. The Learning Tree Day School has been in business for 25 years and has two commercial locations.
Center Director Requirements:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations
- Hiring and supervising staff and teachers
- Overseeing the physical facility (exterior and interior)
- Marketing the school, maintaining current customers and recruiting new customers
- Managing required reports, customer and employee paperwork and files
- Making certain center philosophy, mission, regulations, rules and standards are adhered to
- Making certain Local, State and Federal licensing regulations are adhered to
- Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van
Credential requirements include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Required Experience:
- Must have a total of at least 10 years of experience with commercial licensed daycare facilities.
- Must have at least 3 years of director experience at a childcare facility with a capacity of 100 or more.
- Must have at least 5 years of daycare teaching experience.
Minimum Required Education:
- Prefer the applicant to have either a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an Early Childhood Education related field. Will also consider an applicant with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a different field that also holds a CDA or Technical certificate in Early Childhood Education.
Minimum Required Skills:
- Must possess excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Must possess a natural love for and skill in educating and nurturing daycare-age children
- Must have a good driver's record
- Must receive a satisfactory BFTS criminal background check
Salary, Benefits and Work Hours:
- Salary is tied to the performance of the business and enrollment
- Salary consists of base salary performance-salary multiple bonuses
- Total starting base salary ranges $41K to $52K
- Starting base salary pay is commensurate with level-of-experience and education
- Paid holidays
- Paid 1 week vacation
- Free child tuition
- Work Hours: 745AM-530PM M-F
