Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Infant Teacher to join our team! In this vital role, you will create a safe, stimulating, and caring classroom environment tailored specifically for infants. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for each child's early learning journey, fostering curiosity, trust, and joy in their developmental milestones.
Hours
Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infant development across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Provide attentive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and comforting infants as needed
- Observe and document each child's progress, sharing insights with parents and team members regularly
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a nurturing atmosphere that encourages exploration and independence
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities aligned with early childhood education best practices
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and developmental milestones
Skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, especially with infants
- Strong classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR; certification preferred but not required upon hire
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is a plus
- Excellent caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and attentiveness
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Ability to handle classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times efficiently
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members
