What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Preschool Teacher position at The Learning Tree Child Development Center?
At The Learning Tree, we provide a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children of all ages can learn, explore, and grow. We’re looking for a passionate afternoon preschool teacher to join our team and help make every day a joyful learning experience for 2-5 year olds!
Hours:
- Part-time, Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate activities for children ages 2–5
- Supervise and support children in daily routines and play
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
- Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress
Qualifications:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children (2–5 years) preferred, but not required. We will train the right person!
- Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to pass a background check
