What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Educators position at The Learning Tree Child Care Center?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Learning Tree Preschool & Childcare has been part of
the Portage community for over 50 years, serving children from 6 weeks
to 5 years old. We remained open during COVID-19 and continue to operate
at full capacity every year. Following COVID, we developed a waitlist,
which allows us to continually look for enthusiastic individuals to join
our team. Our ongoing growth has led to a new teaching opportunity in
our young preschool room for children aged 2-3 years. As a teacher, you
will ensure children\'s safety and learning by creating and supporting a
program that fosters their health, growth, and development. You will
design an environment that inspires learning by introducing innovative
ideas that teach language, listening, social, and physical skills
through creative activities. Set up indoor and outdoor areas to
encourage creative play, motor skill development, and safety.
Participate in professional meetings, conferences, and workshops to
strengthen your skills. Attend staff meetings as required. Set and
enforce rules and procedures to maintain order. Clearly communicate
lesson, unit, and project objectives to children. Identify children with
emotional, developmental, or health concerns and discuss these issues
with supervisors, parents/guardians, and child development specialists.
Observe and assess children\'s performance, behavior, social skills, and
physical well-being. Organize and label materials, and display
students\' work in age-appropriate ways. Lead activities to support
physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts,
music, storytelling, and field trips. Teach healthy eating habits and
personal hygiene. Instruct basic concepts like colors, shapes, numbers,
letters, personal hygiene, and social skills. Read books to classes or
small groups. Provide a variety of materials and resources for children
to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in
imaginative play. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: If
you\'re committed to quality education, consider joining The Learning
Tree Center. We seek candidates focused on Early Education with a
Registry level 7 (or currently enrolled in early education coursework)
and at least one year as a lead teacher. We are willing to train those
pursuing a career in early education. \*\*\*\*\* APPLICATION
