Assistant/floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Assistant/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about nurturing young learners and eager to support classroom activities across multiple age groups and classrooms. As an integral part of our educational environment, you will assist lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom routines, and providing exceptional care to children. Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
• Assist with classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children.
• Provide direct care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Help facilitate activities tailored to early childhood development, including Montessori or preschool-based programs.
• Adapt to different classrooms as needed, providing flexible support across age groups such as toddlers, preschoolers, or students with special needs.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational setting.
• Contribute to curriculum development efforts by supporting individualized learning plans for children with autism or disabilities.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
• Knowledge of child development principles and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with disabilities or autism.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to assist in lesson planning across subjects including literacy education, math, behavior management, and curriculum development.
• Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including toddlers or preschool-aged children.
• Certification or training in early childhood education preferred; Montessori or preschool certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining flexibility as a floater position requires adaptability. Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
