Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Assistant/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Assist with classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for children.
- Provide direct care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help facilitate activities tailored to early childhood development, including Montessori or preschool-based programs.
- Adapt to different classrooms as needed, providing flexible support across age groups such as toddlers, preschoolers, or students with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational setting.
- Contribute to curriculum development efforts by supporting individualized learning plans for children with autism or disabilities.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
- Knowledge of child development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with disabilities or autism.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to assist in lesson planning across subjects including literacy education, math, behavior management, and curriculum development.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Certification or training in early childhood education preferred; Montessori or preschool certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining flexibility as a floater position requires adaptability. Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
