Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide 2-year-olds in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
- Implement play-based activities that support early language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and independence.
- Assist with classroom routines including meal times, diapering/potty training, transitions, and rest time.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Communicate positively with families and update them on daily activities and progress.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to uphold licensing and center standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with toddlers in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred.
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus (not required).
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
