Key Responsibilities
- Support a classroom of young preschoolers (approx. age 2) in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
- Implement play-based activities that build early literacy, motor skills, social development, and independence.
- Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering/potty training, transitions, and nap time.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and inviting for children and families.
- Maintain positive communication with families about daily updates and developmental progress.
- Work closely with co-teachers and leadership to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred.
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework a plus (not required).
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- Must meet New Jersey licensing guidelines.
