- Lead daily activities for preschool-aged children in a safe and supportive classroom
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences including circle time, art, early literacy, and play
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, and peer interaction
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and transitions
- Communicate clearly with families regarding daily activities and child progress
- Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing, health, and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and center leadership
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting required
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children
- Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
