Lead Infant Teacher (Early Childhood Education)

Location: The Learning Experience – Brooklyn (Bed-Stuy / Bushwick), NY

Pay: $20–$23 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Start: Immediate opening

Lead Infant Teacher – Early Development Classroom

The Learning Experience – Brooklyn (Bed-Stuy / Bushwick) is seeking a caring and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to guide our infant classroom and support children during their earliest developmental stages. This role focuses on building secure relationships, supporting sensory exploration, and establishing strong daily routines.

We are actively hiring for this role and looking for candidates available to start soon.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months
• Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and nap supervision
• Plan developmentally appropriate sensory learning activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Support assistant teachers and maintain classroom consistency
• Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and milestones
• Ensure compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, or CDA required
• Candidates with a high school diploma and 5 years of relevant classroom experience considered
• Prior infant classroom leadership experience strongly preferred
• Must meet NYC childcare licensing requirements
