Infant Lead Teacher – The Learning Experience River Vale

Location: The Learning Experience – River Vale, NJ

Pay: $17 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Role

The Learning Experience – River Vale is looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom. This role is perfect for someone who truly enjoys working with babies and understands the importance of routines, nurturing care, and early developmental support.

As the Infant Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a calm, loving, and well-organized environment where infants feel safe, secure, and supported as they grow and reach important milestones.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the daily operations of the infant classroom in a safe and nurturing environment
• Provide responsive care including feeding, diapering, naps, and individualized schedules
• Plan and engage infants in simple sensory, music, movement, and early language activities
• Support early social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Communicate daily with families about routines, milestones, and progress
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets all health and safety standards
• Supervise and support assistant teachers in the classroom
• Ensure full compliance with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (minimum)
• Prior experience working in an infant classroom or childcare setting required
• Knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Dependable, patient, and comfortable leading a classroom
• Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
