Child Care Teacher – The Learning Experience River Vale

Location: River Vale, NJ

Pay: $17 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Child Care Teacher to support our preschool classrooms. Our center offers a warm, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment where young children learn through hands-on activities, guided play, and early foundational skills.

If you enjoy working with toddlers and preschoolers in a structured, supportive childcare setting, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to grow within early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, child-centered environment that encourages learning and exploration.
• Support daily routines including circle time, art, literacy activities, and sensory play.
• Promote social-emotional development and help children build positive peer relationships.
• Communicate with families about each child’s day, progress, and classroom experiences.
• Maintain an organized, developmentally appropriate classroom that meets licensing standards.
• Ensure full compliance with New Jersey childcare regulations and center policies.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood setting preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required.
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable, patient, and passionate about teaching young children.
