Lead 2’s Teacher – The Learning Experience Tuckahoe
Location: The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $20–$22 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Age Group: 2-Year-Old Classroom

About Us
The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and enthusiastic Lead 2’s Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our 2-year-old classroom focuses on supporting independence, language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth through play-based learning and hands-on exploration.
We are looking for someone who loves working with toddlers and is excited to build positive relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a developmentally appropriate classroom for 2-year-olds.
- Implement engaging, play-based lessons aligned with developmental milestones.
- Support social and emotional development, language learning, and early independence skills.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive, safe, and clean environment.
- Communicate daily with families about activities, routines, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with all New York childcare licensing standards.
Qualifications
Must meet one of the following:
- BA or AA in Early Childhood Education, or
- CDA (Child Development Associate), or
- Actively working toward an ECE degree or CDA
Additional Requirements:
- 6 months of paid experience working with toddlers (1 year preferred).
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all NYC/DOHMH childcare licensing guidelines.
