About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience – Cascade is seeking a nurturing, confident, and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom. Our center provides a warm, high-quality daycare and preschool environment where infants are supported through responsive care, early learning experiences, and strong teacher-family partnerships.
This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who enjoys leading a classroom, mentoring team members, and supporting infants during their most important developmental stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the infant classroom, ensuring a safe, calm, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Implement play-based activities that support sensory development, early language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth.
- Oversee feeding, diapering, nap schedules, and individualized care routines.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers to maintain consistency and quality of care.
- Communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and progress.
- Maintain accurate classroom documentation and comply with Michigan childcare licensing and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with center leadership to support program quality and classroom success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in an infant classroom (1 year preferred).
- CDA or coursework/degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
