About This Role
Lead a vibrant preschool classroom in Naugatuck, CT, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages three to five. Foster early childhood development through structured play and early education curricula.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS)
- Manage classroom behavior, safety, and cleanliness standards consistently
- Monitor and document individual student developmental progress and milestones
- Build positive, communicative relationships with parents and guardians
- Facilitate early social, emotional, and cognitive developmental skills
Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a teacher in a licensed childcare facility or preschool
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or a CDA credential
- Ability to pass state background checks and required health screenings
- * Physical ability to interact actively on the floor and lift up to 40 pounds
- Enjoy working with children
- 2 years experience at a Licensed Chilcare Center
Nice To Haves
- CT Registry Credential or experience with specialized early childhood curricula
- First Aid and CPR certification for infant and child
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
- Training and/or experience with special education and special needs
