About This Role
We are seeking a reliable, warm, and dedicated Infant Room Closer to join our childcare team in Naugatuck, CT. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing environment for our youngest children during the late afternoon and evening hours, ensuring a smooth end-of-day transition for families.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a safe, clean, and peaceful environment for infants during evening pickup hours.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
- Greet parents warmly during pickup and provide clear, positive daily updates about their child's afternoon.
- Complete evening closing duties, including sanitizing toys, cleaning surfaces, and preparing the room for the next day.
- Adhere strictly to all state childcare licensing regulations and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required by Connecticut law.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor with parents and staff.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it immediately upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
- Knowledge of Connecticut state childcare licensing regulations.
- Prior experience handling closing procedures at a daycare or preschool facility.
