What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at The Lead School of Manchester?

We are looking for an Infant/Toddler lead teacher to join our team in The LEAD School of Manchester located at the heart of Manchester, MD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children, be creative and patient, and have a strong understanding and help create a positive learning environment for our students of early childhood development. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, creating lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and providing feedback to parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Utilize appropriate teaching methods to ensure student success.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents.
  • Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Develop and implement activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/CDA/Associates Degree (preferred)
  • 90 hour certification with Infant/Toddler concentration (preferred)
  • Works productively without supervision
  • Shows empathy and compassion for young children
  • Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

  • Teaching: 1 year (Required)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Candidates must be within a 25-mile radius.
