Practice California Workers' Compensation Law Without Burning Out!

Exceptional legal work starts with attorneys who have the time and support to do their best work.

We're seeking a California-licensed Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our growing practice - an individual who believes attorney success is built on manageable workloads, reasonable expectations, and a collaborative culture. Rather than measuring success by volume alone, RKG Law focuses on delivering

consistently outstanding client service through thoughtful advocacy and strategic case management.

If you're looking for a firm where you can build your career without sacrificing work-life balance,

we'd love to connect with you.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Appear before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) for hearings, conferences and trials.
  • Take and defend applicant and physician depositions.
  • Develop litigation strategies, evaluate exposure, and negotiate favorable resolutions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, and legal correspondence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients through proactive communication and practical legal guidance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Experience practicing California workers' compensation law (defense experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong litigation, writing, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a supportive team.

Why Attorneys Choose Us:

We recognize that talented attorneys have choices. That's why we've created an environment where

attorneys can focus on practicing law—not simply keeping up with overwhelming caseloads or

unrealistic billing expectations. At RKG Law, caseloads are intentionally managed on an ongoing basis to ensure quality advocacy and responsive client service.

What Sets Us Apart:

  • Reasonable billable-hour expectations that emphasize quality representation, efficiency, and client service rather than oppressive volume.
  • Manageable caseloads that allow attorneys to prepare thoroughly, provide exceptional client service and achieve strong outcomes.
  • Robust legal support, including experienced administrative staff and top quality IT support who help keep our practice running efficiently.
  • A fully remote work environment designed to support productivity and work-life balance while not sacrificing true collaboration with the team.
  • Firm leadership who values mentorship, open communication, and professional development.

Compensation & Benefits - Make a Move that Makes Sense for You, Without Sacrificing Pay/Benefits

  • RKG Law provides competitive compensation commensurate with experience. We also feature:
  • Ongoing mentorship from certified specialists
  • Firm paid medical and dental insurance
  • A robust 401(k) plan with guaranteed employer contribution
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and firm holidays and policies that let you truly be away from the office
  • Paid California State Bar dues
  • Paid treatise access to fulfill all CLE requirements and paid access to Lexis-Nexis
  • High quality IT and administrative support
  • True opportunities for advancement and long-term career growth

Join a Firm That Values Quality Over Quantity

We're continuing to build a practice where attorneys can do excellent work while maintaining

sustainable careers. Our clients benefit from thoughtful, strategic advocacy, and our attorneys

benefit from an environment that values professionalism, collaboration, and balance.

If all of this sounds good to you, we invite you to apply for a confidential conversation. Please forward your resume to Managing Attorney Richard Green at: richard@rkgreenlaw.com for immediate consideration.
