What You'll Do:
- Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
- Appear before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) for hearings, conferences and trials.
- Take and defend applicant and physician depositions.
- Develop litigation strategies, evaluate exposure, and negotiate favorable resolutions.
- Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, and legal correspondence.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients through proactive communication and practical legal guidance.
What We're Looking For:
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Experience practicing California workers' compensation law (defense experience preferred but not required).
- Strong litigation, writing, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a supportive team.
