Position Summary:
The Law Clerk provides administrative and legal support to attorneys by assisting with legal research, document preparation, case file organization, and other litigation support tasks. This role offers current law students the opportunity to gain practical legal experience in a fast-paced law firm environment while developing the knowledge and skills necessary to support the Firm's legal team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare, organize, and review documents and correspondence
- Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments for cases
- Assist attorneys with file organization and preparation
- Conduct legal research
- Perform additional duties as required by the Practice Group
Experience/Requirements:
- Entry level role, training provided
- Part-Time, M-F
- Currently enrolled and in good standing with an accredited law school
- Experience using computers and performing data-entry functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate with co-workers effectively and efficiently
- Possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multitask and prioritize workload
- Team-oriented
