Responsibilities:
- Manage plaintiff litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and discovery and draft pleadings and motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare clients, witnesses, and experts for depositions, hearings, and trial
- Develop case strategy in collaboration with firm leadership
- Handle court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional client service
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
- Utilize legal technology and case management systems to effectively manage caseloads
- Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active California Bar license in good standing
- 3 years of plaintiff-side civil litigation experience
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to contribute to firm growth
- The ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Interest in long-term career growth
Bonus Experience:
- Spanish-speaking
- Experience with CasePeer, Microsoft Teams, and AI tools to improve efficiency and workflow
