The Law and Leadership Institute (LLI) is a statewide organization dedicated to empowering nearly 200 first generation college bound high school students through a comprehensive four-year program. This initiative focuses on law, leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, writing, and professionalism to prepare students for post-secondary and professional success. Established in 2008 as a collaboration among the Supreme Court of Ohio and Ohio's law schools, LLI has expanded its presence across the state, now serving students in Ohio’s six largest cities with programming hosted by eight of the nine law schools. LLI continues to make a significant impact by fostering opportunities for future leaders within the legal profession.
Role Description
We are seeking a seasonal Educational Program Administrator for the Dayton Site of the LLI. Based at the University of Dayton, College of Law, this is an on-site role responsible for overseeing, planning, and managing the implementation of LLI's educational programming. The Educational Program Administrator will work closely with law fellows, students, families, educators, and community partners to facilitate classroom management, provide support to teachers, maintain student engagement, and ensure high-quality program delivery. Additional responsibilities include organizing events, serving as the primary point of contact for participants, and ensuring program goals are met in line with LLI's mission.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Education and Educational Leadership, with demonstrated experience in mentoring or guiding students
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development and the ability to design programs tailored to enhance student learning and engagement
- Excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, educators, and stakeholders
- Customer Service experience, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive program environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in program administration and familiarity with working in underserved communities is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Law, or a related field, with relevant advanced degrees or certifications as a plus
