Job Responsibilities
- Utilize estimating software to read and analyze construction drawings for accurate takeoff quantities
- Assist in preparing competitive estimates for both self-performed and subcontracted work
- Identifies risk items with project team
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Review subcontractor bids to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Manage pre-construction process from start to finish
- Manage bid process for both hard bid and negotiated projects
- Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support The Law Company’s goals and objectives
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Ability to maintain an organized workspace
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft application and estimating software
- Solid communication skills and the ability to cooperate with other employees
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline preferred
- 5 years’ experience preparing estimates for complex commercial construction projects of wide-ranging size and type.
