You will assists the Nursing department to insure the needs of residents and guests are being met.
You may also grow from this role into being sponsored for a STNA class and certification.
You will join an experienced, hard-working team that values communication and strong teamwork abilities.
- Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine resident needs.
- Distributes linens, makes beds.
- Serves and collects food trays, performs tray monitor to those residents who are alert and do not require assistance.
- Passes fluids, nourishments to residents who do not require assistance.
- Transports residents to meals and activities, using wheelchair or wheeled cart.
- Provides non-resident care including but not limited to:
- Cleans resident rooms/closets/drawers.
- Empties soiled linen and garbage carts.
- Washing wheelchairs.
- Cleaning soiled utility areas.
- Cleaning shower and whirlpool rooms.
- Cleaning kitchen areas on the nursing unit.
- Complete the personal inventory sheet with all admissions.
- Report all accidents and incidents immediately to the charge nurse.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Graduate/GED
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
