We’re on the lookout for an energetic and friendly Barista to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our café, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing top-notch customer service. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks using espresso machines and other equipment, ensuring each beverage meets our standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and deliver friendly service that makes everyone feel at home.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently while handling cash and card payments with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices.
- Assist in food preparation by serving baked goods and light snacks when needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality.
- Support the team in inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS helps streamline transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Good basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and POS operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
