What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at The Last Chapter Book Shop?
The Last Chapter Book Shop is looking for a part-time Event Coordinator to help us dream up, plan, and run the events that make our community what it is: author signings, book clubs, vendor pop-ups, book conventions, and everything in between!
Please note: this is not an event staff position. We're looking for someone who can lead and organize, think on their feet, take ownership, and direct others when things get busy. Some event or coordination experience is preferred, but we're just as interested in your enthusiasm and follow-through.
What you'll be coordinating:
Author events and signings
Book clubs and community programming
Vendor, pop-up, and small business partnerships
Marketing and promo for events (social media, newsletter, graphics coordination)
Admin tasks: (with assistance)
Run of Show
Event Recaps
Event staff schedule/training
The details:
This will be a part-time, 1099 position.
Estimated at ~20 hours per month. Some months may be more.
Pay starts at $17 an hour.
A reliable car is required for this role.
Evening and weekend availability is needed for events.
