Medical Reimbursement Specialist

Compensation: $17-$19/hour

Location:Lake Charles, LA
Work Model: Fully onsite

What's the job?

• Reach out to patients and insurers to close open balances

• Analyze account details to find errors, gaps or missed payments

• Develop payment plans that work for both sides

• Confirm insurance coverage and correct messy account details

• Work directly with billing and clinical teams to resolve issues

• Keep every note, update and task documented

• Drive follow-up on unpaid claims and manage appeals

• Ensure full compliance and protect patient confidentiality

• Provide standout customer service

What's needed?

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred

• Experience in medical billing, collections or reimbursement

• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes and billing codes

• Proficient with billing software and Microsoft Office

• Strong communicator with negotiation skills

• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities
• A team player who can also work independently
