LaSalle Network has partnered with an established, Chicago-based financial services and investment management company that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the company's financial reporting and internal controls.
This role is back in the office 3x a week in the Loop and is budgeted up to a base of $135,000 with additional target bonus eligibility.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger management
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
Liaise with external auditors and provide support for the annual audit
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 accounting staff
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and analysis
Accounting Manager Requirements :
4 years of experience in public accounting or in a similar accounting manager role, preferably within the financial services and or investment industry
CPA certification
Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
