Position Overview
Executive Protection Detail is charged with providing vigilant, armed personal security for Miller family members and designated executives at the Jordan Commons campus and during travel, events, and in-residence activities. This role requires active participation in all facets of executive protection operations, applying advanced law enforcement knowledge and tactical expertise to deliver a safe and discreet environment while adhering to company values, established protocols, and legal requirements. The position reports directly to the Executive Protection Supervisor.

This role requires active participation in all facets of executive protection operations, applying advanced law enforcement knowledge and tactical expertise to deliver a safe and discreet environment while adhering to company values, established protocols, and legal requirements. The position reports directly to the Executive Protection Supervisor.
Scope Of Responsibilities/Duties
- Direct Personal Protection
- Serve as an armed protection agent, maintaining close proximity to Miller family members and executives to ensure their safety at all times.
- Conduct protective assignments for routine movements, events, and travel, including secure transport, advance route planning, access control, and logistical coordination.
- Continuously monitor for and respond to threats, rapidly addressing security concerns and supporting immediate risk mitigation.
- Participate in counter-surveillance activities to detect and deter hostile surveillance or targeted threats.
- Operational Duties
- Assist with advance preparation for security operations at events, residences, and public appearances.
- Execute security protocols for entry screening, perimeter monitoring, and incident response.
- Support team intelligence gathering and threat analysis activities.
- Document incidents, observations, and operational activity in accordance with company standards.
- Collaboration & Professional Conduct
- Work closely with the Executive Protection Supervisor, Director of Security, and fellow detail members to coordinate operational plans.
- Liaise with law enforcement, local agencies, and internal stakeholders as directed.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct.
- Compliance & Training
- Adhere strictly to legal, regulatory, and company requirements for firearms safety, privacy, and use-of-force standards.
- Participate in required ongoing training in executive protection tactics, emergency procedures, and firearms proficiency.
- Contribute to a culture of continual improvement, readiness, and teamwork within the executive protection detail.
- Integrity
- Demonstrate the highest ethical standards from self and others by setting an example of positive attitude and professionalism.
- Show stewardship in providing a neat, orderly, and safe work environment .
- Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in law enforcement, military protective services, or corporate/family executive protection required.
- Proven skillset in armed close protection work—ideally in high-profile, executive, or family office settings.
- Substantial experience in threat assessment, secure transport, counter-surveillance, emergency response, and protective tactics.
- Demonstrated ability to act quickly and decisively under pressure while maintaining professional composure.
- Outstanding judgment, situational awareness, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Relevant executive protection and firearms/tactical certifications (CPP, PPS, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
