Line Cook Full-Time PTO Sundays Off $18 - $22 depending on experience.

The Larry/Kaizen PHX is seeking a Line Cook to add to our new and growing team! As a Line Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the restaurant's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. As a member of the Line Cook, you would be responsible for performing all tasks to the highest standards and have a fun, exciting time learning to grow in the kitchen!

You will be responsible for the following:
* Execute food tickets, accurately to spec and within desired ticket time
* Attain knowledge and ability to execute all menu items
* Apply safe Food Handling and Sanitation practices when preparing, handling or storing consumable items
* Ensures proper product rotation; using consistent first in, first out, practices
* Maintain a working environment that is set up for success, by properly setting up and breaking down kitchen and dish areas, stocking stations properly, completing daily side work & cleaning duties, and keeping cooking areas organized throughout service
* 17 years or older
* Food handling card or certification through approved organization
* Able to lift and move 50 pounds and sustain working long hours on your feet
* Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts on time
* 1-2 years hot line cook experience in a restaurant kitchen (preferred)
* Basic knife skills, prep production & recipe execution abilities
* Can follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
* Working knowledge of common weights and recipe measurements
* Ability to read tickets and execute food accurately and in a timely fashion
* Ability to work in close quarters with other cooks successfully
* Outgoing personality with the ability to talk to new people regularly

Compensation:
* $16-18 an hour. Pay dependent on experience.
* Benefits available for full-time employees (35 hours average)

The Larry/Kaizen, located within the newly revitalized Lawrence Building in the Warehouse District of Downtown Phoenix, is situated in close proximity to many up and coming technology based businesses, such as Galvanize, WebPT and more. Our unique location and hours of operation allows for a ‘dream’ schedule in the service industry. We will be catering to the local community and its needs, as they are ever changing. The Larry is a full service, counter-style restaurant featuring artisan coffee specials, chef inspired dishes, along with custom craft cocktails and beer.
