Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and accurate Romanian Interpreter to provide interpretation services in a variety of settings, including but not limited to:
- Educational conferences
- Community meetings
- Parent Teacher Conferences
- IEP & 504 Meeting
- Teacher Phone Calls
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and impartial interpretation between Romanian and English.
- Interpret consecutively and simultaneously as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant materials.
- Travel to various locations in and around Hinsdale as needed.
- Manage scheduling and reporting of assignments.
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in Romanian and English.
- Proven experience as a professional interpreter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Certification or training in interpretation is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in educational interpreting
- Familiarity with interpreting software and technology.
- Knowledge of terminology specific to various industries.
