Job Summary
.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: **
To lead the re-positioning of the hotel by building and maintaining a PR presence with local, regional and national media outlets; provide expertise during crisis situations; and assist with driving revenue and market share growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: **
· Develop annual PR and social media pitching plan in collaboration with hotel’s Marketing Plan to ensure high profile coverage for the property while promoting the hotel, banquets and F&B outlets.
· Develop and maintain excellent relations with media by hosting journalists for coverage including meals and events, site inspections and interviews.
· Create and maintain an updated database, develop and organize press promotional activities for local media and produce up-to-date press releases.
· Responsible for managing PR budget while assisting to develop the yearly PR & social media marketing and promotional plan of global and property level initiatives, including Room, Catering, Health & Wellness, Sustainability, and F&B.
· Assist outlets – restaurants and banquets – with creating event-specific and promotional events.
· Support the in-house marketing & social media services team as needed by standardizing internal and external communication formats and edits.
· Regularly review and evaluate performance to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
· Liaise regularly with Regional Director of Public Relations and LHG Communications Office to ensure regional and company goals are met and exceeded.
· Collaborate with various departments to ensure flawless execution and participate in solving problems with other departments.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: **
· Ability to use and create written (verbal/visual) sources of information, e.g. read reports, procedural documentation, and reference materials.
· Use non-verbal/visual sources of information, e.g. reference graphs, tables.
· Use electronic and oral communication to perform work, e.g. answer telephone, greet visitors, and conduct in person and virtual meetings, client entertaining and domestic and international travel.
· Good interpersonal and presentation skills for working with third party partners and the internal marketing with an executive team.
· Due to the cyclical nature of sales, work schedule may vary to reflect the business needs of the hotel/clients.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE /LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES / REQUIRED: **
· Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline preferred
· Minimum 5 years of Public Relations experience in one of the following fields: luxury hotel, hotel sales in local market, public relations agency
