Responsibilities:
- Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of items that require skillful preparation
- Evaluates food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained
- Follows the weekly posted menus
- Interacts with the Culinary Experience Director to ensure that food preparation
consistently exceeds the expectations of residents and family members
- Adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation,
which help to ensure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs
- Consults with the Culinary Experience Director as it relates to food production and
special events being planned
- Adheres to the planned and posted cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen
areas and equipment
- Communicates and connects with residents to learn their dining tastes and preferences
and ensure the residents are satisfied
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Passion to serve seniors
- Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and relate well with residents and their families
- Creates a positive environment, which encourages creative, positive problem solving
and overall job satisfaction for team members
- Contribute to an incredible customer service experience
- Ability to relate well to residents and their families
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- ServSafe Food Handler’s Certificate (current)
- Background Check
- Drug Screening
