The Landings Association Security Officer – 2nd Shift

2:45 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.

Starting Pay - $19.50 per hour * Opportunity for $1/per hr. increase within first 90 days. This shift is also eligible for Shift Differential Pay for the hours of 6:45 p.m. - 10:45 p.m.

As a Security Officer with The Landings Association, you will be one of the first people residents, visitors, vendors, and service providers meet. You will serve as an ambassador for our exceptional community by offering friendly assistance, clear information, and professional service while helping maintain a safe and secure environment.

This is a highly visible, people-focused position that blends hospitality and community service with access management, patrols, emergency assistance, and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate is approachable, dependable, observant, and able to remain calm and courteous in every interaction.

• Welcome residents, visitors, guests, vendors, and service providers with a professional, helpful, and courteous approach.
• Provide directions, information, and assistance that create a positive experience and reflect pride in The Landings community.
• Monitor and manage community access by confirming visitor and vendor authorization and processing commercial passes and fees according to policy.
• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols, facility checks, and residential premise checks to identify safety concerns and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms and coordinate the appropriate response.
• Respond promptly to resident requests, complaints, traffic incidents, alarms, medical calls, and other emergencies.
• Assist police, fire, and emergency medical personnel and help manage traffic or crowds during emergencies and community events.
• Promote compliance with community rules through education, respectful communication, sound judgment, and appropriate escalation.
• Complete accurate incident reports, logs, and other required documentation.
• Inspect and care for assigned vehicles, radios, and security equipment.
• Support teammates, assist with training new officers, and work collaboratively with other departments.
• Respond when needed during severe weather, natural disasters, and other urgent community situations.

• The ability to prepare clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office, mobile devices, radios, phone systems, security software, and camera systems.
• The ability to learn community rules, procedures, geography, and roadways.
• A team-oriented mindset, reliable follow-through, and pride in representing the community.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred; training may be provided if needed.

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured under The Landings Association’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Availability to work weekends and participate in emergency response when required.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle during routine and emergency conditions.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in stressful situations and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
