The Landings Association is seeking a Marina Forklift Operator to join the Marina team. This position supports daily marina operations by safely lifting, launching, moving, and storing boats while providing excellent service to residents and boaters.
This is a hands-on outdoor role ideal for candidates with marina, marine, heavy equipment, or large-capacity forklift experience.
Important Experience Information:
This is not a warehouse forklift position. Candidates should be comfortable operating large marina forklifts used to transport and store boats in an outdoor marina environment.
Experience with heavy equipment, boat handling, trailers, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or other large machinery is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate marina forklifts to move, launch, retrieve, and store vessels
- Assist boaters with docking, securing, fueling, and launching boats
- Inspect forklifts and equipment daily and report maintenance concerns
- Perform fueling operations in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
- Assist with marina upkeep including cleaning docks, pressure washing, trash removal, and light maintenance
- Support dock store operations and assist customers as needed
- Monitor marina activity to maintain safe vessel movement
- Follow all marina safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Assist during storm preparation, cleanup, and emergency operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Ability to safely work around water and heavy machinery
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing
- Reliable attendance required
- Ability to swim required

- Marina operations
- Boat handling
- Heavy equipment operation
- Large-capacity forklift operation
- Construction or agricultural equipment
- Dockhand or marine service experience
