What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Therapist position at The Lakes Home Care?
We are currently seeking a licensed and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to perform evaluations and re-evaluations for Medicare patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicare guidelines and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial speech-language evaluations and re-evaluations as required
- Develop or update individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure compliance with all Medicare regulations and agency protocols
Requirements:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Florida
- Experience working with adult and/or geriatric Medicare patients
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with Kinnser or similar EMR platform is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
