The Lakes Country Club currently has the following opening within our Security Department:
Full-time Security Supervisor
Job Summary:
Our Security department functions as a “team” to ensure the protection of The Lakes Country Club’s members, guests, assets and property. Each Security Supervisor maintains the highest degree of ethical standards while promoting and enforcing a safe and secure community environment. Security Supervisors shall maintain general computer skills, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to function and effectively lead other staff, members and community visitors during all types of physical emergencies. The Security Department functions on a 24-hour basis, 365 days per year. All team members must realize this fact and know there may be times when it becomes necessary to move a team member from their accustomed shift as business demands.
Position Overview
The Security Supervisor will support the Security Director by overseeing daily operations of the Security Department, ensuring the safety and security of The Lakes Country Club’s members, guests, assets, and property. The Security Supervisor will effectively lead staff, engage with members, and manage physical emergencies with composure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Train Security Officers to monitor and safeguard club assets while providing outstanding customer service.
Collaborate with the Security Director to enhance departmental performance and implement emergency procedures.
Instruct staff on access control and patrol operations procedures, ensuring adherence during shifts.
Review shift documentation for compliance and report relevant information to the Security Director.
Promote and embody the principles of "duty of care" among team members.
Engage with members for feedback on service quality, professionally addressing complaints and escalating unresolved issues to the Security Director.
Monitor team behavior, providing feedback to enhance service performance, and ensure members' satisfaction.
Prepare for daily events and communicate important information to Security Officers.
Ensure team members are cross trained to support effective operations and maintain open communication within the team.
Acknowledge team successes and individual contributions publicly.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of supervisory experience in security within resort, country club, or hospitality settings.
Proficiency in ABDI software and general computer skills.
Valid guard registration card and compliance with all BSIS requirements.
Valid California driver's license with automobile liability insurance meeting state requirements; a clear Motor Vehicle Record is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of access control and security operational procedures, as well as emergency plans and safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication abilities.
Capacity to supervise a security team effectively while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and operate efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Other Requirements
Flexibility to work extended hours and willingness to fill in for absent staff, to maintain shift coverage.
Adapt to changing policies and procedures in a positive manner.
Safety
Employees must adhere to established safety practices and participate in all safety-related training provided by the Association.
Compensation
Starting wage: $20.09 - $20.42 per hour
