Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing used dishes, glassware, and silverware promptly to maintain a clean dining environment
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup for service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers and cleaning tools
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas by adhering to sanitation and kitchen health and safety standards
- Assist with food safety management practices to ensure compliance with all sanitation protocols and regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
