The Dishwasher/Steward will be responsible washing dishes, keeping the kitchen clean, and helping other kitchen staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload dishes into and out of the dishwasher
- Wash and dry dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Sanitize dishes and utensils
- Maintain the dishwashing area
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Empty and clean trash receptacles
- Clean kitchen appliances and machines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and report sanitation issues.
- Buss tables to collect dirty dishes
- Help other staff with tasks
- Adhere to food safety procedures
- Put away all dishware and cookware in designated areas
- Stock supplies
- Set up the dining room
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and active listening skills required
