Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to support kitchen operations
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and fryers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation protocols
- Follow food safety guidelines in handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients to prevent contamination
- Support meal preparation for daily service as well as catering or special events when needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food production and service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food industry settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills with precise slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
