Duties
- Diagnose hardware and software issues on mobile devices (Android, iOS) and computers (Windows, macOS) using schematics, analysis skills, and troubleshooting tools
- Perform repairs on device components, including soldering delicate parts when necessary
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble devices with precision
- Conduct software troubleshooting to resolve operating system errors or glitches on various platforms
- Provide technical support to customers both in-store and in the field, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, including parts used and troubleshooting steps taken
- Assist with retail sales by advising customers on device care, accessories, or upgrade options when appropriate
Experience
- Proven experience repairing mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets across Android and iOS platforms
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and software troubleshooting techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools for electronics repair as well as reading schematics for complex repairs
- Ability to perform soldering tasks accurately on small electronic components
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of hardware or software issues quickly
- Experience working in field service or retail environments providing technical support is preferred
- Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment and performing equipment repairs efficiently
