Role Description
The Entry-Level Network Cabling Technician supports the installation and maintenance of low-voltage cabling used for CCTV camera systems. Responsibilities include pulling and routing Cat5e/Cat6 cables, assisting with camera mounting locations, terminating network jacks, labeling cables, and helping with basic system setup. The technician will follow instructions from senior installers, adhere to safety guidelines, and ensure clean, organized cabling practices. No prior experience is required, but candidates should be comfortable using hand tools, working on ladders, working in tight spaces and learning technical skills. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience with Cat5e and Cat6 cables and other structured low voltage cabling systems
- Knowledge of electricity and its principles as applicable to cable and electrical work
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools for installations and repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in relevant fields is a plus
- Familiarity with safety practices and regulations in the electrical and cabling industry
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
