What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lien Resolution Specialist - Personal Injury Law Firm position at The Kryder Law Group, LLC?
The Kryder Law Group is seeking a motivated individual to serve as their Lien Adjudicator / Case Resolution Specialist. The candidate will handle all aspects of case resolution following settlement. This includes coordinating review and signature of settlement documents with the client and opposing counsel; negotiating medical liens; drafting settlement paperwork; using the Medicare portal, and updating clients throughout the settlement resolution process. Prior experience handling settlement distributions is preferred. However, other applicants may apply if they can demonstrate that their past work history will allow them to succeed in the position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the review and signature of all settlement documents with clients including releases, authorizations and statements;
- Ensuring all settlement documents are timely received by defense counsel and that the settlement checks are issued to our office;
- Conducting all aspects of lien negotiations including drafting initial lien proposals; following up on lien proposals; and negotiating liens;
- Drafting all statements of settlement and other case resolution documents for review by the attorneys and signature by the client;
- Ensuring that the client receives the settlement check in the manner of the client’s choosing;
- Issuing all checks to the liens holders, referring attorneys, and clients;
- Closing files; and
- Providing consistent updates to the client throughout the settlement resolution process.
- Maintaining excellent client relations from the start of the settlement process to the end.
- Financial data entry. Review of costs.
- File inventories, quality control and settlement oversight.
Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience at a law firm with prior experience negotiating liens and assisting with settlements.
- Strong math skills, strong negotiating skills, strong accuracy skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service mindset
- Familiarity with office software and case management systems like Lead Dockett and SmokeBall
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred, but not required

Compensation: $47,000 - $55,000
